My wife and I recently finished our TV Lift project and are very pleased with how it came out. Since we live in a very small apartment, we didn’t want a large TV to be exposed as the main centerpiece of our living room. We previously had built a wooden ‘fireplace’ and mantle, with an electric decorative log set inside. When we obtained a 42” flatscreen plasma TV, we decided to conceal it inside of the fireplace.
STEP1
At the suggestion of a co-worker who already purchased parts from your company, I purchased your 30" stroke tubular actuator (150 lb force), two MB2 brackets, and one set of your 32" drawer slides to make the TV lift.
STEP2
Using the "Do It Yourself" TV Lift Project instructions and pictures on your website as a guide, we constructed a TV lift mechanism to suit our needs. We mounted the TV to the lift and set it inside of the decorative fireplace. By tacking a yard of black felt to the inside of the fireplace, the TV is hidden from view when it is in the down position.
